Affleck’s apology after ‘grope’
HOLLYWOOD actor Ben Affleck last night apologised to actress Hilarie Burton amid allegations that he groped her.
The star was accused of “grabbing” Ms Burton’s breasts during filming for a US television show in 2003.
The claims emerged during a Twitter row after Affleck, 45, issued a statement condemning Harvey Weinstein’s alleged behaviour.
One of the women who have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, Rose McGowan, later branded Affleck a liar.
Ms Burton also shared a video clip that apparently showed the alleged incident and wrote: “Girls. I’m so impressed with you brave ones. I had to laugh back then so I wouldn’t cry.”
Good Will Hunting star Affleck later tweeted: “I acted inappropriately toward Ms Burton and I sincerely apologise.”
