‘Buttman’ Affleck hit by grope accusations
A MAKE-UP artist yesterday accused Ben Affleck of grabbing her bottom at a Hollywood party.
Annamarie Tendler said the actor pretended he was “politely moving me out of the way” at the event in 2004.
In a series of tweets, Tendler said: “I would also love to get an apology from Ben Affleck, who grabbed my ass at a Golden Globes party in 2004.
“He tried to play it like he was politely moving me out of the way and, oops, touched my butt instead of my lower back.”
A video also emerged showing Affleck putting Canadian TV presenter Anne-Marie Losique on his lap and complimenting her “firm breasts”. Ms Losique later claimed it was a joke and that she was in on it.
Affleck, 45, is considered a protege of Harvey Weinstein and the two have enjoyed a close relationship since they worked together on Good Will Hunting in 1997. But Affleck’s own behaviour is coming under the spotlight and he has already apologised to actress Hilarie Burton for grabbing her breast on an MTV show in 2003.
Twitter users ridiculed Affleck and dubbed him “Buttman” – a reference to his role as Batman.
Rose McGowan, one of Weinstein’s accusers, has claimed that Affleck knew about Weinstein’s behaviour in the 1990s but kept quiet.
Affleck has not commented on the allegations by Ms Tendler.
