Ugly is just fine by Hurst

- HOME AWAY

SHREWSBURY boss Paul Hurst was only too happy to see his side win ugly as a late header from Toto Nsiala sank Fleetwood and kept them top of the table.

The Shrews looked set for a frustrating day before defender Nsiala headed home a corner with two minutes left.

“It was an exciting end but a lot of it in between wasn’t the best spectacle, partly because of the conditions, partly because of the opposition, but the team that was trying to win the game finally did,” said Hurst.

Shrewsbury are two points clear of Wigan, who eased to a 3-1 win at Blackpool.

The Seasiders went ahead through Kyle Vassell before a brace from Chey Dunkley turned it around and substitute David Perkins knocked in a late third.

Latics’ assistant boss Leam Richardson said: “We need to stop going behind, it’s a bad habit.”
