J-Lo on floor after film flop

-

SHE might appear the epitome of self confidence but Jennifer Lopez was left questioning whether she had what it takes as an actress after 2003 film Gigli flopped at the box office.

The 48-year-old starred alongside former fiancé Ben Affleck in the film and states the less than positive response led to her doubting herself both as a performer and in general. “I lost my sense of self, questioned if I belonged in this business, thought maybe I did suck at everything. I was eviscerated,” J-Lo tells Vanity Fair.

She and Ben, 45, were one of Hollywood’s power couples for a short time. They started dating in 2002, getting engaged only a year later, but then cancelled their wedding a day before it was due to take place. And Jen adds that with her split from Ben in January 2004 being played out in the public eye, it only added to her vulnerability: “My relationship self-destructed in front of the entire world.”

However it now appears that the thrice-married star, who was previously wed to waiter Ojani Noa, dancer Cris Judd and then singer Marc Anthony, has found true love with former New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez. She said recently that her current partner is the best ever: “I’m in a good relationship. I feel like I can say that for the first time. Not that I didn’t have great relationships, full of love and adventure, but this is the first relationship I’ve been in where I feel like we really make each other better.”
