WOULD YOU STOP WORK AFTER WINNING LOTTERY?

-

Yes

I RESPECT my work colleagues very much and have become close friends with a handful of them but if I ever dropped a few million quid on the lottery they’d never see or hear from me ever again (“No envy here, say £25m winner ladies’ work pals”, November 10).

People forget that we work to live, not the other way around and I’m glad that the NHS dinner ladies from South Wales who scooped more than £4million each have jacked in their jobs and will enjoy the rest of their work-free lives in luxury. I would do the same in a flash. David Robinson,

No

YOU need a reason to get out of bed in the morning and even if I became rich beyond my wildest dreams overnight then I would still do some sort of work.

I think I’d do some sort of voluntary work, maybe in a charity shop a couple of days a week. Otherwise time would weigh heavy on my hands and I’d go out of my mind with boredom.

As soon as the winnings were in my account I’d clear my mortgage, pay off my children’s mortgages and fund my grandchildren through university. Apart from that I don’t think my life would change. Valerie Clifton,

Manchester
