Mollie? It’s Strictly a grade C says Craig but I give an A to Alexandra!

- By Michael Knowles

STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has rated Mollie King the worst of the remaining contestants, saying “she just doesn't have natural ability”.

Horwood graded the stars in an acid “half-term report” for Radio Times that pulled no punches and gave The Saturdays singer a C.

He wrote: “She just doesn't have natural ability and that's hard to overcome.

“I think she could [win], but it'll take double the work of everybody else.”

King and partner AJ Pritchard were in the danceoff against Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara two weeks ago, with the JLS star controversially sent packing.

The pair narrowly avoided the same fate last week, making it through to week nine of the dance contest. At C-, only Ruth Langsford was given a lower score by Horwood – but she left the BBC show on Sunday night with partner Anton du Beke.

Not everyone was disappointed with the This Morning presenter's exit though.

Husband and co-host Eamonn Holmes tweeted: “I am feeling a lot of love for her out there but I am also looking forward to having my wife and our life back.”

Horwood gave singer Alexandra Burke his highest score with an A, saying: “She can really dance!”

But the judge added: “She needs to polish her footwork. She'll only get a 10 from me when that's perfect.”

Favourite Debbie McGee received an A-, with Horwood saying he would be “disappointed” if she does not make it to the final.

At the end of week eight, Burke topped the leaderboard, tied with Davood Ghadami on 38 points.

McGee, who previously scored a perfect 40 with Giovanni Pernice for her tango, slipped down with 35 points.

The widow of magician Paul Daniels said on Twitter she was having an “amazing experience”, and could not believe she was going to Blackpool. All the remaining contestants will head to the seaside resort for a special show from Blackpool Tower, to be aired on Saturday.

Loose Women star Ruth Langsford admitted yesterday there were times when she found it tough competing on Strictly.

She told her fellow panellists on the ITV chat show: “You've all lived it with me.”

And she admitted she knew she was at risk of leaving the show at the weekend, saying: “The foxtrot and me didn't get on very well.”

She added: “It was everything I thought it would be with bells on, it's exciting, it's terrifying. I think I did improve and I loved it.”

But Coleen Nolan said she thought the judges had treated Langsford “cruelly” and singled out comments made by Bruno Tonioli.

She said: “I thought they were out of order... especially Bruno's actually, I thought was nasty.”
