UK will take EU to the cleaners if we listen to Sir James
HOW I agree with billionaire inventor Sir James Dyson when he says that Theresa May should walk away now from the Brexit negotiations (“Let’s quit EU talks now!”, November 13).
I might just consider allowing the EU a second chance by countering their chief negotiator Michel Barnier’s two-week ultimatum to us with one of our own, agree to start trade talks within two weeks – no strings attached – or we leave without a deal.
If Prime Minister May does this and shows real steel then her ratings will rocket.
However if she gives in to the EU bullies and agrees to pay any more than the £20billion already on the table (I strongly disagree with this offer anyway), her ratings will plummet and as far as I’m concerned she is finished as our country’s leader.
I say to Mrs May, show strength now and save the UK and your premiership. Anthony Griffin, Sutton Coldfield, W Mids
