Somali thug’s laughing up his sleeve at £80k payout

SO Abdulrahman Mohammed is awarded £78,500 for 445 days of detention over three periods, pending deportation, for repeated criminal activities (“Outrage as Somali thug wins £80k for ‘unlawful detention’”, November 11).

The man is a thug and a criminal, we should not be giving him money.

If he was “imprisoned falsely” then award him compensation, followed by an immediate fine of the same amount for abusing the country’s hospitality and then deport him without further ado. Tony Burrett, Spalding, Lincs
