Rainbow warriors
EVERY Premier and Football League ground will display rainbow corner flags from November 24 in support of Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign.
The campaign is a show of solidarity with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender fans, players and staff across football. Players and officials are invited to wear rainbow bootlaces and clubs have also been given rainbow captain’s armbands.
EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey said: “Whilst acknowledging there has been progress made in this area, there is still work to be done.”
The flags will be used in the Premier League until November 26 and in the EFL until December 3.
