Feline shocked... moment cat finds a fox in his bed

- By Megan White

GEORGE the cat throws a bit of a hissy fit – on finding a fox relaxing in his bed.

Meloney Blazye, 47, went to let her moggy into the house when she spotted the cheeky urban intruder snoozing.

Meloney, who works as an executive assistant at a bank, thinks the cunning trespasser slipped in through an open window during the night – when George is out and about.

“When I came downstairs and walked past the kitchen into the bathroom, I did a double take, as in the kitchen window I could see a pair of huge ears,” she said.

“I thought, ‘hmm, those are not the cat’s ears’, and I turned the light on to look at what was in the cat’s bed – and it was a fox.

“He was very tame, he did not want to leave.”

George was by now outside the window, glaring gatecrasher.

“He was not impressed,” said Meloney, of Petts Wood, south-east London. “I had to let him in through the bathroom window.

“George jumped in and was telling the fox off – he was even hissing – but the fox just looked at him.”

Meloney added: “It was unwelcome squatter.

“I kept tapping the bed but backing away as the fox is wild and I did not at the nonchalant like an want to upset it as it could bite, for all I knew. It frightened the life out of me.

“Eventually, I managed to tip the bed and it went out the window.

“I quickly shut it and it calmly stood outside looking in.

“It was very good looking but stinky and I had to clean everything afterwards. It really was the most awful smell.

“I am lucky I had shut my bedroom door or I could have woken up with it on my bed.”
