Golly! Mollie set to reveal Strictly romance
THEIR rumoured romance has gripped viewers for weeks... and speculation Mollie King will announce she and partner AJ Pritchard are an item is hotting up.
Last night she became the eleventh celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing. Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman had even teased the pair on the previous night’s show.
Tess said she and AJ, 23, would dance a “romantic waltz” and Claudia added: “We’re all agreed it’s the right time to talk about the elephant in the room.”
They finished bottom of the semifinal leaderboard with 56 points out of 80, prompting her tears. They later lost out to Emmerdale’s Gemma Atkinson, 33, and partner Gorka Marquez, 27, in the dance-off.
Mollie, 30, said: “It’s been the most fun I could ever have had. Spending all this time with AJ I feel so lucky.
“A huge thankyou to everyone who has voted us through.”
Katya Jones, 28, won a standing ovation for her show of strength when she balanced Holby City partner Joe McFadden’s weight on her thighs during their tango.
They earned an impressive 70 out of 80 to put them joint second with Paul Daniels’s widow Debbie McGee, 59, and partner Giovanni Pernice, 27.
Singer Alexandra Burke, 29, who danced a waltz with partner Gorka Marquez, 27, took revenge on critics who accused her of faking earlier tears by coming top on 79 out of 80.
She said: “My joy and my tears were 100 per cent genuine.”
