MORE THAN A HOLIDAY FOR MADONNA

MATERIAL GIRL Madonna is clearly living up to her reputation by moving into an 18th-century palace in Portugal.

The 59-yearold singer and her youngest children David, 12, Mercy, 11, and five-year-old twins Estere and Stella have moved into the lavish 12-bedroom building.

The property, with a heated swimming pool shaded by palm trees, is said to be the most elaborate place that Madge has ever called home.

She’s thought to have relocated to Europe because David was offered a place at football club Benfica’s youth academy. She’s thought to be renting the property for a year and will have the option to buy when the 12-month period is up. Her other children, daughter Lourdes, 21, and son Rocco, 17, are based in New York and London respectively.

Of her move Madonna said: “It’s an experiment. I wanted to just go and experience another culture, music and art scene – and this one is phenomenal.”
