Passengers can sit pretty thanks to BA’s decision

GOOD news that British Airways has decided to scrap reclining seats on short-haul flights (“End to legroom war as BA axes reclining seats on 35 planes”, January 8).

It would be beneficial if other airlines did the same.

There are already laws to stop passengers boarding intoxicate­d and most airlines restrict those pregnant at 36 weeks from flying.

If only airlines were prepared to uphold these rules many unsavoury journeys and unwarrante­d costs to this country from health tourists could be avoided. Pauline Pittaway,
