Dodgy chat-up lines don’t make a man a predator

I AM with Catherine Deneuve on the issue of men and their clumsy flirting. Please, please let us put a stop to tagging every man as a sexual predator (“The queen of sexual liberty”, January 11).

I am afraid all this has gone too far and it’s becoming a bit of a joke.

I think it is a lovely gesture if a gentleman gives you a friendly hug or a flirty wink. What is wrong with that? I do wish some women would get off their pedestals and give us all a break. I am sick and tired of the charade of it all. Annette Hale, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset
