Twits hiding behind social media are a total disgrace
AS an 88-year-old mother, grandmother and great grandmother, I am not brilliant with technology but I try (“Kate tells pupils ‘social media can be addictive’”, January 11).
I recently found out how to see what people write on Twitter.
I was appalled. Lots of them criticise hate crime and abuse etc, when they seem to do exactly that.
Vitriolic and hurtful things are said just because someone has a different opinion to theirs. What happened to free speech? If they did not hide behind false names, lawyers would have a field day. Patricia Haines,
