THE JUNGLE BOOK

It was always going to take some doing to surpass the 1967 Disney classic of the same name, but this live-action remake definitely hits the heights expected in Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis’ directorial debut.

Based on Rudyard Kipling’s famed novel, the tale focuses on a boy who is raised by animals in the jungles of India, before his carefree life is threatened by the return of a fierce tiger with a grudge against humans.

The youngster then faces a difficult choice between remaining with his friends or returning to his own people.

Starring Neel Sethi, with the voices of Bill Murray, Sir Ben Kingsley, Benedict Cumberbatch and Idris Elba.
