Wagner won’t stop spending
DAVID WAGNER has not ruled out making more January signings as Huddersfield close in on their second new arrival of the winter window.
A reported fee of about £12million has been agreed with Norwich City for midfielder Alex Pritchard, with personal terms set to be dealt with ahead of tomorrow’s clash with West Ham.
Pritchard, above, joins Monaco defender Terence Kongolo in moving to the John Smith’s Stadium in
January, with the England Under-21 international having spent the last 18 months at Carrow Road. “The two clubs have found a solution. Now it is all about the personal terms and I’m confident it will be done in the next 24 hours,” said Wagner. “The window is still open and we still have our eye on the market.” The Terriers have been linked with a loan move for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic, though they could face competition from West Ham. ALFIE MAWSON will not be leaving Swansea this month despite interest in the England Under-21 defender from both West Ham and Watford. Centre-half Mawson, left, is a £25 million target for David Moyes’ Hammers but Swans boss Carlos Carvalhal has issued a hands-off warning. Carvalhal said“I have had guarantees from the chairman. But I want to keep my best players.” ●BOURNEMOUTH manager Eddie Howe is tracking Denmark Under-21 defender Mads Pedersen who is a free agent.
