Documentary: Working Class White Men, 10pm, C4
In the concluding part of this interesting take on social division, Professor Green ( above left) takes a deeper look at the identity crisis that he believes white working class men face and examines the knock- on effects for those closest to them. He speaks at length with Gav on the day he is released from prison and follows the struggle he faces to rebuild bridges with his son after his latest spell behind bars. Generation after generation of children have grown to love Ribena since it was first sold in the 1930s. Amazingly, 90 per cent of Britain’s blackburrants are turned into soft drinks at the company’s factory in Gloucestershire. In this show, Gregg Wallace ( left, with Cherry Healey) explores the facility which churns out a staggering three million bottles a week. Eager to learn more about the processes involved before the blackcurrants arrive in the Forest Of Dean, Healey harvests the berries on a 543- acre farm in Kent – one of 40 that supply the factory. As always, there is something of a history lesson from Ruth Goodman, who learns more about the origins of fizzy drinks.
