The Remainer who wants millions of Britons dead
THE Remainer Lord Malloch-Brown, once a Labour minister and a former deputy general secretary of the UN, has a special knack for infuriating his political opponents with his patronising, complacent pronouncements on Brexit.
Even the name of the organisation he chairs, Best for Britain, funded by a donation from the billionaire George Soros, has a self-satisfied ring to it. It may as well be called “We Know Best”.
Best for Britain’s aim is to persuade MPs to vote against whatever Brexit deal is on the table, cause the downfall of the Conservative Government and bring Brexit to a grinding halt. He has said: “I’m coming to rescue the Tories from their own mistake.”
Best for Britain has big plans, including “youth focused” concerts and marches and lobbying on social media. From this alone it can be seen that young voters are in their sights.
Now Lord Malloch-Brown has said that the young he campaigns with are “really angry with older people” but that the plan to derail Brexit will succeed because Brexiteers are “dying off”.
This is not merely patronising and complacent, it is downright disgusting to talk of older voters as though they are disposable and irrelevant. Those with children and grandchildren have a great stake in the future of Britain.
Yet Lord Malloch-Brown wishes large swathes of the population dead. What a charmer.
