KYLIE: I BROKE DOWN AFTER LOVE SPLIT

KYLIE MINOGUE has revealed that she had a nervous breakdown after splitting from her former fiancé Joshua Sasse, pictured. The perennial pop princess said she was left completely “broken” after parting company from the British actor, 29, following a three-year relationship.

The 49-year-old has now told how she jetted off to Thailand with a couple of close friends after the break-up last February. “I knew I needed to heal. My physical system was compromised. I think it’s called a nervous breakdown,” confesses the Spinning Around singer who has had a series of failed high-profile romances including French actor Olivier Martinez, the late INXS frontman

Michael Hutchence, rocker Lenny Kravitz and her Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan.

She adds: “I needed to reclaim myself and get strong and get going. I think I reacted pretty quickly. I can take a nosedive pretty fast but I won’t stay there long. I’m too practical.”

And now the dust has well and truly settled Kylie has come to the conclusion that he wasn’t the man for her anyway.

“It wasn’t the right union,” she says philosophically. “I’ve never been that woman who dreams of walking down the aisle. You dust yourself off and you go through that period of ‘Never again. Not going to do it.’”

Although she hasn’t completely given up on finding love again, she’s in no hurry:

“I love romance and I love to feel in love or be in love. Although I’m not that bothered right at this minute I’m enjoying being fully within myself.”
