- By Anil Dawar

A MOTORIST was more than twice the drink-driving limit when he killed three teenage boys walking to a party.

At the Old Bailey yesterday Jaynesh Chudasama, 28, of Hayes, west London, admitted three counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was trying to overtake another car when his Audi hit Harry Louis Rice, 17, and 16-year-olds George Toby Wilkinson and Josh McGuinness, in Hayes, Middlesex, last month.

The trio, who died at the scene, were among a group of eight pals walking to a party at a football club at 8.30pm on January 26.

Opening the case, prosecutor Crispin Aylett QC said the defendant, who works for a car rental firm, was found to be more than twice the limit.

He will not face drinkdriving charges, he added, but Chudasama was over limit it will be a factor in his sentencing. The school friends were on their way to a 16th birthday party when they were mown down. George and Joshua were thrown into the air, while Harry was carried on the bonnet until the car hit a wall. Chudasama and his passenger ran off, pursued by two boys who dragged the driver back to the scene. One of them later admitted he had hit the driver over the head with a bottle to stop him getting away. Mr Aylett said funerals for two of the boys had yet to take place. The defendant hung his head and spoke softly as he entered his pleas in a courtroom packed with members of the boys’ families. Sentencing was adjourned until Friday, March 9.
