‘I’m so glad I went to Amplifon. It’s been like opening up another world.’

He says: “I’m so glad I went to Amplifon. It’s been like opening up another world.”

Joyce, meanwhile, has been a regular Amplifon customer for a number of years, but switched to some new top-of-the-range hearing aids about 12 months ago.

She can now use her iPhone to control the different settings and has a microphone that can be placed in the middle of a table to help when she’s chatting in a large group.

A keen gym-goer, Joyce has found her social life has become much easier, as has keeping in touch with her family.

She enthuses: “My daughter lives a long way away, so we chat on the phone a lot, and when we talk in the car the sound from the iPhone comes straight to my hearing aids, which is absolutely brilliant. “In fact, when I go down to see her and my four grandchildren I sometimes have to turn the volume down because they’re so loud!”

The aftercare service provided by Amplifon has been a huge plus-point for the couple, particularly the knowledge that they can call into Amplifon whenever they want.

Joyce says: “They’re almost like friends. You get offered a coffee when you go in, they ask how you are and you come out feeling so much better because you’re never rushed.”

Philip agrees: “It’s probably one of the best after-sales services that I’ve ever come across, and I used to work in sales and marketing.”

They have already recommended Amplifon to other friends.

Joyce says: “Amplifon has 100 per cent improved my life and I couldn’t cope without my hearing aids now.

“Philip will talk to people in the supermarket and tell them about Amplifon.”

And he adds: “In my opinion they’re definitely a world leader in hearing technology. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.”
