WHILE fans wait to see how Emily Blunt fills Dame Julie Andrews’ shoes as Mary Poppins in an upcoming sequel, the veteran actress, pictured, reveals her successor did not ask for advice.

“No she didn’t,” says Dame Julie, 82, who won an Oscar for her portrayal in 1964. “I’m just letting them do their thing... mine was mine, this is a new way. It was 50 years ago and that boggles my mind!”

HAVING taken public aim at the former prime minister during his time in 10 Downing Street, feisty Tory MP Nadine Dorries now admits: “I regret calling David Cameron an ‘arrogant posh boy’. He is a fundamentally decent bloke.”

She is less apologetic about directing the same insult at his chancellor. “Do I regret calling George Osborne that? Not even a bit,” Dorries adds. “He’s far less intelligent than he thinks he is.”
