Janette Manrara says the ballroom show won’t spell doom for her romance with husband and fellow dancer Aljaž Škorjanec as the so-called Strictly curse won’t affect them.

The pair got married last summer, and American Janette insists they won’t go the same way as so many in the dance show, by splitting from their significant others.

“That’s not a thought that ever crosses my mind,” Janette, 34, who was partnered with former JLS singer Aston Marigold, 30, in the last series, tells OK! magazine. “I don’t believe in the Strictly curse. It comes down to a man and woman. It’s not Strictly’s fault. I trust Aljaž with my whole heart.

“He is my best friend and I trust him completely.”
