Clarkson growth shipshape
THE tide is turning for shipping services group Clarkson which posted 12 per cent higher underlying annual profit of £50.2million.
The firm said a stronger global economy had raised hopes of recovery from “sustained challenging trading conditions”. It increased its dividend payout for the 15th year and is debt free after repaying loan notes in 2017.
Chief executive Andi Case said: “The business continues to generate significant cash flows to fund investment and drive returns. 2018 will see continued growth.”
Shares rose 55p to 3345p.
