The singer seemed to be driving home the point he made last month to old friend Elton John, 71, who announced that his forthcoming 300-date world tour will be his last because he wanted to spend more time with husband David Furnish and their two sons.
“If I retire, I won’t make an announcement. I’ll just fade away,” said Rod at the news.
“I don’t think this is a big deal, it stinks of selling tickets.”
