Double shock...my wife’s having twins, says Chris

- By Mark Reynolds

BBC DJ Chris Evans yesterday announced he is to become a father again at the age of 52 with his wife Natasha expecting twins.

The millionaire presenter broke the news on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, when he suddenly asked for advice about having twins.

He then revealed: “Mrs Evans is, she is. Double trouble, twin turbo. We have known for a while, obviously. She is definitely the mother, no doubt about that.”

He added: “I did a bit of work for TNT once upon a time when I worked in a warehouse and when you work for TNT you see more TNT lorries, when you buy a Mini for the first time you see more Minis on the road, and when you begin to be involved in the world of twins suddenly twins everywhere, they are not as rare as you think.”

Cravings

Evans said he had already tried to break the news to their fiveyear-old son Eli. He joked on the show that the little boy “has got a shock and a half coming, he’s got a double shock coming”.

He added: “We tried to tell him, he doesn’t quite get it yet. Eli is mum’s best mate. That is going to change, my friend.”

He added: “I’m looking forward to lots of curries and cravings.”

News of the pregnancy comes less than a month after Evans revealed his wife, 38, was undergoing IVF to have another “anklebiter”.

The pair’s aged eight.

The couple’s second son Eli was conceived by IVF after Natasha, a former professional golfer, suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2010.

Evans, who has been married three times, also has a daughter other son is Noah, Jade, 30, from a previous relationship.

After announcing the pregnancy yesterday, he asked his guest on the show, nutritionist Henrietta Norton: “Do you know where cravings come from?”

She replied: “They are naturally driven. Your body will be your guide, so if you are low in vitamin C... I remember when I was pregnant, I used to lick lemons, because I was low in vitamin C.

“You can be driven natural intentions.

“But you can get cravings that are driven by low blood sugar and you might be drawn to more sugary or high salt foods because you are not resting enough.” by very
