DAN MICCICHE has been sacked by MK Dons with the club six points from safety after a 4-0 defeat at Southend.
The former England Under-16 manager, appointed only in January, admitted: “The fine margins have gone against us.”
His assistant Keith Millen will take charge for now.
Wigan boss Paul Cook hopes delivering promotion back to the Championship will live long in the memory after they thumped Fleetwood 4-0.
Blackburn could yet pip them to the title but Cook said: “It’s great when you’ve managed or played for a club and you lead them to promotion, you’ll always have a place in their heart.”
