DAVINA McCALL has hit back at claims that she’s planning to hand over £2.5million to ensure a quick divorce from husband Matthew Robertson. “Just for the record I have not and never will discuss my divorce/money/kids/terms,” says the 50-year-old on Twitter. “NONE of it with the press. So whatever is out there is not from me (and is rubbish). This is to protect our kids.”

It had been suggested that following the end of her 17-year marriage to fellow TV presenter Matthew, the former Big Brother host wants to move on as quickly as possible so was prepared to go halves with the proceeds of the sale of their £3.2million, 37-acre mansion in East Sussex, as well as handing over a further £1million to her ex, 49. The pair have three children – Holly, 16, Tilly, 14, and Chester, 11 – and Davina, who has suffered well documented battles with drink and drugs in the past, has admitted that she had to come clean with them earlier than she would have liked because she didn’t want them finding out from elsewhere. “I’ve had to be very honest about my past with the children, especially now they have access to the internet,” she said. “I had to be brutally honest quite early on when I thought other kids might talk to them about it. They grew up with ‘Mummy’s going to a meeting’ – they just didn’t know it was a Narcotics Anonymous meeting.”
