Katy reaches out to Taylor

-

FEUDING pop stars Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have finally agreed to bury the hatchet six years after falling out.

Seemingly seizing the opportunity to clear the air ahead of the opening night of Taylor’s Reputation world tour, Katy, 33, apparently sent her former archenemy a symbolic gesture of peace with a handwritten letter.

Taylor took to Instagram to share a video, saying: “So I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch – this means so much to me,” with the 28-year-old captioning it with “Thank you Katy.”

The clip shows a large olive wreath and a section of the note which reads: “Hey old friend, I’ve been doing some reflecting on our miscommunications and hard feelings between us. I really want to clear the air.” The rest of the text is hidden but the phrase “I’m deeply sorry” can be seen on the next line.

The pair haven’t been pals since 2012, when the Roar singer apparently took three of Taylor’s backing dancers for her own tour.

Two years later Taylor retaliated with her hit Bad Blood, which is thought to be about Katy, who then returned fire with her own revenge track Swish Swish about standing up to bullies. Taylor discussed their quarrel in an interview at the time, saying: “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.”

Katy also spoke about the disagreement in a Carpool Karaoke interview with James Corden, saying: “She started it and it’s time for her to finish it.”
