EVA PROUD TO SHOW BUMP

-

HEAVILY pregnant Eva Longoria might be ready to pop but that didn’t stop her glamming up for a television interview earlier this week.

Despite the fact she is due to give birth any day now the former Desperate Housewives star made an appearance on US chat show Extra at Universal Studios in Hollywood.

Proudly displaying every contour in a skin-tight dress and matching cardigan, it seems that Eva, who is about to become a first-time mum at the age of 43, is relishing every last opportunity to show of her impressive bump before the big day.

Her third husband, Mexican media mogul José Bastón, 50, watched on from the sidelines, no doubt keeping close by just in case…

THE TV Baftas are taking place this weekend and as the picture shows, Declan Donnelly will be cutting a rather lonely figure this year. Minus regular sidekick Ant McPartlin, who is of course off-duty for the foreseeable future, Dec will be the only one in attendance as the presenting pair are nominated twice in the Entertainment Programme category for Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain’s Got Talent. It will be the first time the 42-year-old has attended the event alone in his three-decade career, with the seating plan showing he’ll now be sitting between Thandie Newton and Ashley Banjo at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

The ceremony will be hosted by another star without her regular sidekick, former Bake Off host Sue Perkins minus Mel Giedroyc.

HAVING carved out a lengthy career playing smooth-talking cads it will come as no surprise that Nigel Havers charmed his way into many of his early roles. Speaking to Day & Night the 66-year-old confesses that when he was starting out he would cleverly bypass nerve-racking auditions by simply asking television bosses for work directly.

“Way back at the BBC when there was no security, I used to go up to the fifth floor where the producers’ corridor was and look for a job,” says the Chariots Of Fire actor. “They used to say ‘Nigel, what are you doing here? Come in. Come in.’ And then I would get cast.” Before adding: “I have always had good parts and that is due to luck.”

A bit of luck, perhaps, combined with a sprinkle of charisma and a healthy dash of steely-eyed ambition!
