Find the Botox bandits! Police hunt trio who did a runner after £2k jabs
THREE fresh-faced fraudsters who had £2,000 worth of Botox jabs are wanted by police – after they ran out of a beauty clinic without paying.
Officers have released pictures of the suspects – who posed for photographs before being given the anti-ageing treatments.
The two women and a man all had Botox injections and lip filler. The man also had filler injected into his cheeks.
The trio were seen at Persona Cosmetic Medicine in Bexley, Kent, where they racked up a total bill of £2,230.
Police have now issued an appeal on social media after the incident in February.
Officers want to talk to two women and a well-groomed man with a neat beard and trimmed eyebrows.
A post on the Bexley Police Facebook page said: “The three suspects received treatments worth more than £2,000 and then ran out of the premises without paying for the work. The pictures shown were taken prior to receiving the treatment.”
The manager at the clinic said the individuals had not received any treatment there before.
It is thought that at least one other clinic in the area had been targeted.
It is understood Persona Cosmetic alerted other clinics to warn them about the three suspects.
Botox relaxes the facial muscles to temporarily reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Dr Lisa Delamaine, medical director and owner of the clinic, said: “We confirm that three patients did receive treatment and ran from the clinic without paying.
“Here at Persona, we do not believe in charging patients up front for their treatments, as more treatment may be required when they are with their medical practitioner.” Facebook users have commented on the incident. Christine Whiterod said: “Let’s hope they get them. Not being funny...but don’t you have to pay a deposit of some sort?”
Cassie Read said of the male suspect: “How can the third one go around incognito? Would spot him a mile off.”
And Cat Raheem said: “Why on earth would they allow pictures to be taken before the treatment if they are planning to do this?”
