Michael Fassbender takes the lead role as Callum Lynch who, after being sentenced to death, enters a virtual world in the search for a device which contains a genetic code for free will. He soon discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on a powerful organisation in the present day.
