Mobile phone ban makes a chap much more engaging

WHAT a splendid chap Jennifer Selway’s husband seems to be (“Living with a man with no mobile”, June 9).

As do I, he deplores screen-ogling nerds forever walking into anyone and anything or annoying all around them with inane chatter in restaurants, trains and buses.

How did the human race manage to survive before the invention of these irritating gadgets?
