Lisa: I’m complete

-

LISA RILEY didn’t actually want children but felt bullied into trying after losing so much weight.

The former Emmerdale star, who turns 42 on Friday, announced her engagement to “secret boyfriend” Al in May, and after losing an incredible 12 stone explored the possibility of IVF. However, Lisa now admits she felt pressured to go down that route. “IVF didn’t work for me but I don’t want plan B, C, D or E. I can’t go around wishing I was a mum because that’s not going to be me.

“I was put in a situation where I did feel bullied. It was like, ‘Oh, you’ve got an amazing body, don’t you want a baby?’ And actually, I don’t want a child!” she tells Woman magazine. Before Lisa, who had a stone of excess skin removed following her drastic weight loss, adds that she is now more than happy with her lot. “I couldn’t feel more complete if I tried. I’m the cliche of a naughty auntie and I have my nephews, who I have sleepovers with when I go back to Manchester. That brings music to my ears.” And it seems her newfound happiness extends to her appearance too. “I feel like I’ve got the correct figure. I’m a woman – I’ve got curves in the right places and I’m who I want to be. The feeling I get now when I go shopping for clothes and underwear is one money can’t buy.”
