Proof of teen driver danger
TEENAGERS are eight times more likely to be involved in a crash or near miss in the three months after their driving test, research released yesterday shows.
They are also four times more likely to take risks.
The study of 90 teenagers in Virginia, USA, appears in the Journal of Adolescent Health.
Co-author Bruce Simons-Morton said: “Our findings suggest they may benefit from a more gradual decrease in supervision.”
