Energy drinks peril for young
BRITISH children guzzle far more energy drinks than kids in other European countries.
Public health minister Steve Brine told MPs that teachers had identified the caffeinated drinks as a cause of bad behaviour.
He added: “I don’t let my children have high-energy drinks.”
Official figures show 70 per cent of UK 10 to 17-year-olds down the drinks – 50 per cent more than the EU average for the age group.
