Mystery: Keeping Faith, 9pm, BBC1

Within these column inches four weeks ago we told you that everything apart from the title of this programme was absolutely superb – we were right, weren’t we? Left unnerved by the break-in at her home, Faith (played by the absolutely superb Eve Myles, left) attempts to bury herself in work and takes on the case of an elderly farmer who is caught in a dispute with a rather ruthless landowner. Steve’s growing closeness to Faith begins to attract the attention of Terry while Arthur receives a mysterious package. Elsewhere, Dr Alpay names a price for information about Evan and Faith receives a disturbing visit from Gael Reardon. Sadly we only have three further episodes to come after this one.
