Receives six-month driving ban and fined £830 after being caught speeding for a fourth time.

NOVEMBER 2016

Receives two demerit points from the Internatio­nal Cricket Council in the space of four Tests after on-field verbal exchanges with Bangladesh’s Sabbir Rahman and India captain Virat Kohli. On both occasions Stokes is accused of using “language or gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting”.

AUGUST 2017

Stokes receives his third demerit point after stump mics pick him up swearing after West Indies Shai Hope edges him through the slips during England’s Test defeat at Headingley. It leaves him one more point away from getting a one-Test suspension.
