The Beatles boys come together...
THE sons of one of the greatest teams in songwriting history have shown that the apple does not fall far from the tree.
Sean Lennon and James McCartney – sons of Beatles John and Paul – showed off their doppelganger credentials this week in a selfie Sean posted on Instagram, captioned “Peekaboo…”.
And fans went wild over the resemblance and fantasised about another collaboration.
“The spitting images of your parents,” one said. “Love this,” another added.
It is not clear what they were doing, although both are musicians and James, 40, was holding a guitar, so that was enough for fans to hope they would come together. One urged: “You guys should make music together! God bless you Sean.”

Another added: “A second generation of music? They have the genes.” Sean, 42, is the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. He has an older half brother, Julian, born to John and his first wife Cynthia. The star was shot dead in the street in New York in 1980 aged 40.
James was born to Sir Paul and his late wife Linda McCartney, and grew up with Heather, Linda’s daughter from her first marriage, and sisters Mary and Stella.
Sean has released albums and also played with his mother’s Plastic Ono Band.
James has released two EPs and two albums and also played guitar and drums and co-written songs on two of Sir Paul’s solo albums Flaming Pie and Driving Rain.
He also played lead guitar on a number of tracks recorded by his mother which were released as the solo album Wide Prairie after her death from breast cancer in 1998.
It is not the first time Sean Ono Lennon has hung out with other Beatles progeny.
Last year he was snapped with James’s sister, designer Stella at her fashion show in New York. He also posted a selfie on a boat on the Thames with Dhani Harrison, 39, son of the late George Harrison. And in 2012 James said he had mooted the idea “a little bit” of forming a “next generation” version of the Beatles with Sean, Dhani and Zak Starkey, son of Ringo Starr.
