Ring confirms Ed has wed Cherry?
HAS Ed Sheeran secretly married his long-time girlfriend Cherry Seaborn? Despite only being officially engaged, the 27-year-old has now seemingly confirmed they’ve already tied the knot, during an interview with US news show Access Hollywood. Ed – who got engaged to risk advisory consultant Cherry on New Year’s Eve – was asked: “What about the wedding details? Have you picked a date? Do you know where? Do you know when yet?” But rather than answering verbally the Suffolk-raised star simply shrugged before pointing to a silver band on his ring finger and smiling. This prompted his interviewer to say: “Ah right. Congratulations my friend! That’s exciting,” to which Ed coyly replied: “Yeah.” When asked how he managed to keep the nuptials a secret, Ed said: “Well, I never really do anything too public anyway.” The reporter then added: “That’s awesome,” and Ed thanked him. In January the singer shared the news of his engagement on social media. The following month he denied reports he and Cherry had secretly wed after he was spotted wearing what looked like a silver wedding band on his ring finger. He was also asked shortly after when he and his other half were planning on walking down the aisle, but refused to be drawn on a potential wedding date, saying: “It will be a situation like this where no one knows.” The pair, who have known each other since meeting at school, have been dating since 2015.
