JULIEN MACDONALD

From shimmering metallic sequins and daring asymmetric draped dresses to explosions of neon-bright animal print, Julien Macdonald’s show was glam to the max. As well as the dazzling eveningwear, sparkling swimwear also featured for the first time.

JASPER CONRAN

The future was bright at Jasper Conran. Utilitarian shapes including boiler suits, oversized spring knits and boxy dresses came in the brightest of neon shades. The eye-catching colours were interspersed with designs featuring bold monochrome stripes for a strong contrasting look.

BURBERRY

In his debut collection for Burberry, creative director Riccardo Tisci reverted to the brand’s heritage classics. Knee-length skirts, slim-leg trousers and trench coats were the epitome of grown-up style in shades of beige and taupe. The famous Burberry check was also reimagined as stripes on blouses, scarves and coats.

ALEXA CHUNG

Making her London Fashion Week debut, model-turned-designer Alexa Chung pulled out all the stops for her first catwalk collection. Taking inspiration from the 1930s, 1970s and 1990s, the show featured retro tailored shapes including button-detailed dungarees, denim and waistcoat suiting and structured A-line dresses.

TEMPERLEY LONDON

Temperley London’s collection was a Bohemian dream of sequins, silk and tulle in beautiful sunset colours. Grecian silhouettes, artful draping and geometric prints came together to create a stunning catwalk collection inspired by the designer’s ethos of empowerment, creativity and uniqueness.

VICTORIA BECKHAM

The former Spice Girl celebrated 10 years in the fashion industry with this chic show. In a minimal palette of black, cream and camel with pops of red, sky blue and forest green, the collection featured masculine tailored trousers and blazers as well as louche silky separates and billowing maxi dresses.

BORA AKSU

Inspired by the Polish-Romani poetess Papusza, Bora Aksu’s spring collection emanated a soft ethereal romance. Delicate cut-out lace, layers of frothy tulle and vibrant florals inspired by the nomadic gypsy lifestyle created romantic yet dramatic dresses, all finished with delicate hand-stitched embroidery.
