‘Nuno making us feel special’

- James Nursey

WOLVES skipper Conor Coady has hailed their own ‘Special One’ and insists the promoted club can maintain their impressive start.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side followed up their draw at Manchester United with victory over Southampton.

It left ecstatic home fans chanting: “Nuno’s the Special One” at a rocking Molineux.

As Nuno’s old manager and Portuguese compatriot Jose Mourinho toils at United, Wolves now stand eighth and above the Red Devils in the table.

Coady, 25, said: “You always hear the Wolves fans, don’t you? The manager is brilliant.

“The way he sets us up and the way he speaks to you, you understand everything, so you don’t really have to ask questions.

“He will pull you to one side and tell you his vision – how he wants you to play and how he wants you to do things. It’s as simple as that. For what he

brings on the training pitch and what we’ve learned day in, day out, he’s great to have.”

A tight game was decided when Nuno brought on Adama Traore and Ivan Cavaleiro off the bench.

Fit-again Cavaleiro scored with his first touch in the Premier League after Traore caused chaos down the right.

Jonny Castro Otto made sure of the points as Wolves kept a third clean sheet in four games.

After just one win in seven games, Saints’ Cedric Soares says they must not press the panic button.

Full-back Soares, 27, said: “We are playing differently from last season, we are playing with more confidence and I don’t want to lose that just because we are losing games.

“We cannot change the way we are playing because we are actually doing OK.”
