…as weddings are set to cause more Corrie chaos
THE two Corrie weddings, featuring Tracy Barlow and Steve McDonald and Daniel Barlow and Sinead Tinker, promise equal drama.
Steve has cheated on Tracy with Leanne Battersby. But with Tracy wrongly convinced he’s had a fling with her friend Abi, it remains to be seen whether the wedding goes ahead.
Meanwhile, Daniel has planned a surprise alternative pagan wedding for his pregnant fiancee Sinead, unaware that she is hiding a secret from him – doctors have discovered a lump which could be cancerous, meaning she may have to terminate the pregnancy. There are even rumours that she might sacrifice her own life.
Actress Katie McGlynn, who plays Sinead, said: “She thinks she’s having a miscarriage. Sinead’s whole world turns upside down.”
Tracy’s hen do airs this Friday, so the fireworks could start then. Fans will remember that Steve made a massive blunder when he confused Tracy’s offer of a “free pass” to the spa as a free pass to sleep with someone else.
After Steve confessed that he did not love Tracy and had threatened to call off the wedding, he drowned his sorrows with Leanne and ended up sleeping with her.
Next week also sees the surprise return to the cobbles of Ben Price. The 46-year-old actor, who left the show 18 months ago, is back as Nick Tilsley.
Super Soap Week traditionally provides some of the dramas’ highest viewing figures of the year.
In Emmerdale’s offering this year, Claire King returns as bad girl Kim Tate after nearly 20 years away from the soap.
