Calm Tosun’s ready to fire

CENK TOSUN says his strike against Fulham has settled his nerves and left him itching to get stuck into Southampton tonight. Everton’s Turkey striker, 27, opened his account for the season with a first goal in 10 matches after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 3-0 win on Saturday.

And with manager Marco Silva indicating he will take the League Cup seriously, Tosun expects to keep his place tonight with a first start in a month.

“As a striker if you score, you play the next game better and with more confidence,” he said. “In front of goal you are calmer. This will help my confidence.”

Southampton defender Cedric Soares, meanwhile, has urged his side to target
