Beauty gadgets to roll away the years

Each week our experts Dr AAMER KHAN and LESLEY REYNOLDS bring you the latest beauty news and anti-ageing advice

A T 60, Madonna has the skin of someone decades younger, so what is her secret? Last week she posted a picture of herself using a facial roller from her own skincare range MDNA. Made from carbon, the device claims to deliver infrared energy into the facial muscles, lifting and firming skin while smoothing lines and wrinkles.

The singer uses the device every day, saying: “I take the beauty roller and I start along my jawline, beginning at the chin and moving up towards the ear, upward and outwards.”

While Madonna’s skincare range isn’t available yet in the UK, facial rollers have grown hugely in popularity over the past year. Why? Because these massage-based devices promise smoother, firmer and brighter skin with minimal effort required. So if you’re ready to roll, read our guide to find out which one is right for you.
