Lone Liam gets positive at last

-

A FEW months after his split from Cheryl Tweedy, singer Liam Payne says he’s rising above negativity and is more connected to those close to him now.

The 25-year-old, who has a son, Bear, with the former Girls Aloud star, announced the end of their two-year romance in July and says today: “Time to rise above the negativity. I love positive people… I’ve actually never felt closer to my family, friends and fans than I have in the past few months – whatever I’m going through.”

Liam’s declaration that he has been struggling comes as a surprise as he’s been romantically linked to a string of models and appeared to have moved on swiftly after the breakup.

His tweet also comes after reports that X Factor bosses will keep him apart from 35-year-old Cheryl to avoid any awkward encounters when they both perform their new tracks at live ITV shows this weekend.

Producers are said to have only managed to get the two to commit to performing by booking them on separate days. Cheryl is expected to perform her new single Love Made Me Do It, while Liam will likely sing his collaboration with Jonas Blue, Polaroid.

A source commented: “Cheryl is relaunching her music career on the show and Liam will be trying to get a major hit.

“Both have written about the collapse of their relationship in their new music so they could end up singing about their break-ups on the same stage.”
