Murder fear police hunt for missing mum-of-five

-

“Sarah had left home with nothing apart from her black iPhone 4. There are no belongings missing that would suggest she has gone away.”

Experts with specialist technology as well as forensic scientists are trying to locate the phone and unlock its secrets including last calls and text messages sent and received.

Officers yesterday urged residents, landowners and businesses in nearby rural areas to check their properties, particularly outhouses.

CCTV cameras and drivers’ dashcam footage could also provide vital clues, said Mr Fotheringham.

“We are particularly interested to hear from anyone with fixed CCTV cameras within a five-mile radius of New Ash Green, whether this is residential or commercial CCTV to come forward,” he said.

“Likewise, anyone who was out on the evening of October 9 to the morning of October 10 in that five-mile area who has a dashcam in their vehicle, please contact us.”

Ms Wellgreen, 5ft 7in tall, with green eyes and straight, brown, shoulder-length hair, was last seen in the Bazes Shaw area of New Ash Green.

Her father Anthony Wellgreen, 67, said: “I don’t understand it at all. It’s not in her character this.

“We are all so worried. Two weeks is a long time to be away.”

Ms Wellgreen had been living with ex-partner Ben Lacombe, 38, and their three children – a to disappear like 12-year-old son as well as boy and girl twins aged six.

It is understood the couple split up following the birth of the twins and Ms Wellgreen returned to her home town of Portsmouth. Her family said she had moved back to Kent.

Her two elder sons live in Portsmouth and she was working part-time at a beauty salon in the city.

Martin Prus, manager of Puresun beauty salon, in Southsea, Portsmouth, last saw her at work on Saturday, October 6.

He said: “We are all worried. She is a really good, strong person and a good professional.”

It is believed Ms Wellgreen had a new man in her life, who she met through an on-line dating agency.

A man aged in his 30s was arrested last week in connection with Ms Wellgreen’s disappearance and later released on bail.
