TV Susanna’s date at football with her perfect match

- By Gillian Crawley

TV PRESENTER Susanna Reid was just another face in the crowd yesterday, watching Crystal Palace play Chelsea alongside the club’s chairman who is her new love.

The Good Morning Britain host sat with Steve Parish just hours after it was revealed they had been secretly dating.

Susanna, 47, and millionaire businessman Steve, 53, began seeing each other two months ago and are said to have bonded over their mutual love for the Eagles.

Their discreet dates have included a charity performance of the hit musical Hamilton, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were guests of honour.

Susanna was two seats away from Steve when Palace won 2-0 at Fulham on August 11, but as he is chairman and she a loyal fan, the connection was not made before yesterday – when sadly, their side were beaten 3-1 by the Blues.

A friend said: “Susanna and Steve are exclusively dating. It’s extremely early days but they’re having a lot of fun.

Chemistry

“They have known each other for several years through their connections to Palace. Over the summer they started hanging out more and fell for each other.

“They have a real chemistry, a wicked sense of humour and both are real family people. Plus, of course, they share a love of the Eagles.”

The romance is Susanna’s first since her 16-year relationship with Dominic Cotton ended in 2014. They have three sons, Sam, 16, Finn, 14, and Jack, 13.

Divorcee Steve has two grown-up daughters and is worth an estimated £45million.

Susanna recently hinted she was dating again to her ITV show co-host Piers Morgan and viewers, saying: “I’m relaxed and happy.”

And in an interview last week, she confirmed she was dating but suggested that there was no one special.

Susanna’s split from Dominic followed her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 and led to speculation that the famous “Curse of Strictly” had claimed another relationship.

But she denied the show had anything to do with it.
