Check this list then get rid of regrets
HERE’S a quick check to see if you have been investing in a PPI guaranteed to give an unhealthy return on regret:
Complaining you don’t have enough time. Wishing but not “doing”. Not taking responsibility. Always being “too tired”. Overthinking. Waiting for the “right” time. Envy and resentment. Drifting, as in “I just sort of drifted into this job/relationship/life”.
Thinking you have lots of time to play with.
Assuming others are supremely lucky/gifted with success.
TWorrying about what others think (listen, they’re really not bothered).
Putting yourself down/playing the victim.
Assuming rather than being curious.
Taking out an interest-only mortgage on the comfort zone. Not forgiving yourself or others. Giving “what’s the worst that can happen?” a lot of research.
The good news is that I can help you regain your sense of Purpose, Passion and Inspiration so that in your dotage you’ll have the golden glow of a life well lived. Start today, start right now and put a down payment on a joyful existence.
MY HERO OF HAPPINESS
HIS week it’s Emma Thompson, right. Shaping up to be a national treasure, this versatile actress and writer has now become a dame as she was presented with this honour at Buckingham Palace last week.
True to form, the award-winning star didn’t take the occasion too seriously as she wore a casual suit and trainers. But then she once walked to the stage at the Golden Globes to collect her award barefoot – Louboutins in one hand and Martini in the other.
A girl after my own heart. All her appearances – on stage and screen or off them – raise a smile and warm the heart. THERE seem very few guilt-free pleasures these days, so it’s nice to know a good old cuppa is a real tonic for our health too. Tea is the nation’s favourite drink and its health-enhancing plant compounds (flavonoids) act as a superfood packed with the equivalent of two apples. So put the kettle on and give yourself a break – and your health a boost.
